Summer ALEtails Using Rebel Grapefruit IPA

Rebel ResistanceWith the hottest days of the year upon us and IPA Day just around the corner, we felt now was the time to share a few simple, yet refreshing, ‘ALEtails’ you can make at home using our Rebel Grapefruit IPA! Rebel Grapefruit has been having a great summer as drinkers across the country have chimed in on their love for the real grapefruit juice and peel we brew into this beer. Even Men’s Health think it’s a great brew for the warm weather days!

Rebel Grapefruit SMASH

  • 12 oz. Rebel Grapefruit IPA
  • 1 oz. Grapefruit flavored vodka

Method: Build ingredients directly into a pint glass and stir briefly. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit!

Note: Ice is not necessary if the beer is cold. And, stirring once or even twice just to mix it will not affect the head.

Tasting Notes from Jennifer Glanville, Brewer & Director of Brewery Programs:

Rebel Grapefruit IPA is brewed with real grapefruit for a big punch of citrus that amplifies the tropical fruit and citrus notes Mosaic hops. The addition of a grapefruit vodka complements and enhances Rebel Grapefruit’s big, grapefruit juiciness and citrus notes. It’s a smashing beertail for any season or occasion!
